The many legal cases that have befallen unscrupulous journalists have prompted. the heads of professional journalist organizations to gather which was initiated by H. Rizkan and Aliv Simanjuntak as the initiators of the meeting at the Bumi Aki restaurant Pakansari Village, Cibinong District, Bogor Regency. Saturday, (21/1/2023).
At the meeting, H. Rizkan, who was also the initiator, said that the journalist profession should not be underestimated because it is a strategic partner in any institution, therefore journalists must be proud of their profession.
“The journalist profession should not be looked down upon by anyone, therefore we must be proud of this journalist profession,” said H. Rizkan.
He further explained, in relation to the arrest of two unscrupulous journalists by Law Enforcement Officials (APH), it was considered that right or wrong was not the point of our meeting. Prioritizing tabayun, don’t let Law Enforcement Officials (APH) rush into making a stance and must be balanced.
“And I value it as wisdom and education for us together, be it colleagues in the profession or APH in the future. At this time, I am also grateful to the leaders of APH in the region because colleagues in the profession have breathed fresh air and met their families again,” said H. Rizkan who is also was asked as the Advisory Board of the Association of Chairmen of the Bogor and Bogor Raya District Journalists Organization (PKOWKB).
while the Chairperson of the Bogor District PWI, H. Subagyo said that it was necessary to have an audience with the police chief who was represented by the team that had been formed.
“We need to have an audience with the police chief, it’s enough for us to be represented, we don’t need all of them, if we come too many, it will be considered that we want to take action, so it’s enough to have a representative,” he said.
The chairman of the Presidium of the Bogor and Bogor Raya District journalists Organization (PKOWKB) who had just been formed continued that, he also thanked the police for mediating and hope so that in the future this would not happen again,
“I thank the police for freeing our colleagues in the profession (Journalists AY and Z) so that on Saturday afternoon (22/1) they were released from the Leuwiliang Sector Police Station, and have returned with their families at home,” continued Subagyo.
In line with H. Subagyo, the General Chairman of AIPBR Aliv Simanjuntak said that, journalists’ organizations do not have power if they are still like separate sticks, but it has power when put together.
“We should not be like separate sticks, we must be united and together so that we have the strength of unity,” he said.
It should be noted that, the meeting was attended by the Chairperson of PWI Bogor Regency, H. Subagio, Chairperson of PWRI Bogor Regency Rohmat Slamet, Chairperson of IPJI, Harun, Chairperson of PJID, Marpaung, Chairperson of AJWI Nimbrod, Chairperson of Forwara Irwan, Chairperson of FWBB Iwan Boring, Chairperson of Coloring Kefas, Head of MIO Irfan Lubis, Head of FWJ Indonesia Opan, Head of IMO Didin, and the General Chairman of AIPBR Aliv Simanjuntak.
